Pasque Flower (Anemone Pulsatilla Vulgaris Violet ) - A hardy and easy-to-grow plant from flower seeds, Pasque Flower blooms come in shades of light violet with yellow stamens. Use as a single specimen or in groups for a color mass. Like all Anemone flowers, it demands well-drained soils. It is a great plant for rock gardens. The majority of leaves develop after the flowers. The entire plant is covered with soft, silvery hairs. The plant remains attractive after it stops blooming, although the leaves may die back in late summer. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Remove old flowers to prolong flowering. Cut back to the ground at the end of the season. Anemone Flower plants are great in rock gardens or in the front of a perennial garden. Also combines well with spring bulbs or ground covers.
