Fujian Cypress Tree Seeds (Fokienia hodginsii) 20+Seeds
A medium-sized to large conifer that can reach about 35 m tall with a trunk rarely over 1 m in diameter. The foliage consists of finely divided branchlets, densely covered with tiny, scale-like leaves. It is native to southern China, Laos and northern Vietnam, where it grows between 100 and 2300 m. Even though still fairly common, Fokienia hodginsii is threatened by logging for its aromatic, rot resistant wood. In cultivation it is best suited to warm temperate, humid climates in USDA hardiness Zones 8 and above. It is a popular ornamental in China but is rarely cultivated elsewhere. Cold stratification after sowing may be required for succesful germination.
