Sweet Pea Pearl Mix Flower Seeds (Lathyrus Latifolius) 25+Seeds
Sweet Pea (Lathyrus Latifolius Pearl Mix) - Perennial Sweet Pea vine is also known as Everlasting Pea or Everlasting Peavine. It will grow 48 - 60 inches and will climb any adjacent vegetation or structure with its twining tendrils. In open areas it will spread along the ground. The blooms are about 1 inch across and the plant will flower for about 2 months during the summer. Perennial Sweet Pea flowers in this mix are in shades of white, pink, and red. This is the perfect vining plant for covering up out-buildings or old fences. Unlike the annual varieties, perennial Sweet Pea vine does not have a fragrance. Like clover, the Everlasting Pea plant fixates nitrogen in the ground which will help the plant grow. For best germination, Sweet Peas seeds need to be scarified before sowing. Nicking the seed with a nail clipper breaks the outer coat of Lathyrus Latifolius seeds so they can absorb water immediately. By doing this a larger percentage of the seeds will germinate and they will sprout a few days earlier. After nicking the seed, soak the perennial Sweet Pea seeds over night in tepid water.
